OCTOBER SAILING WITH DAVID

After several days of rain and storms, a high-pressure system was finally moving in. With the forecast looking promising, David and I decided to make the most of it and spend one last weekend in the archipelago before the sailing season came to a close.

AUTUMN SAILING WITH LUFFA

Not long ago, I moved my boat to a new harbor, which means I can now keep it in the water for an extra month each year. Autumn has always been one of my favorite seasons for sailing, so Marcus, David, and I decided to take advantage of the quieter waters and spend a weekend out in the archipelago. It was pure bliss—just the three of us and a few majestic sea eagles, with no one else around.

SOLO SAILING AT SUNSET

As the sailing season was coming to a close, I felt a bit stressed about how little time I’d spent on the water this year. So, I decided to take a short solo trip over the weekend. I didn’t head out until 4 PM, which made for a brief but enjoyable sail to Torkorna before the evening darkness rolled in.

GULLVIVERALLYT 2023

In this year's Gullviverally, we sailed for the first time in many years with the original crew, Team Luffa – that is, David, Marcus, Petter, and me. The kids had to stay home this time because it was all about "old man's sailing" on the agenda!

SOLO SAILING TO BISKOPSÖN

It was the first weekend in May, and I had an overwhelming craving to get out on the water and sail. When I asked around, none of my friends were able to join, so I decided to go solo. The day was absolutely perfect, with a gentle northerly breeze—ideal for some peaceful solo sailing!

LUFFA VS HUXFLUX

Once again this year, Ornö Runt was canceled due to the pandemic, but Berndt and I were so eager to sail that we decided to create our own race around Ornö—Luffa vs Huxflux. So, Marcus came up from Västervik, and we sailed down to Kolnäsviken on Friday evening, where we met up with Berndt. The next morning, the race was on!

AN UNFORGETTABLE SAIL

This weekend turned out to be an unforgettable one that I won’t soon forget! David and Emine came up from Kalmar, and we decided to sail south to explore the archipelago around Norsten. It’s a beautiful stretch of islands with relatively low terrain, offering little wind shelter, but the conditions were absolutely perfect. Sunshine, a gentle breeze, and warm (well, somewhat warm) waters!
