SUMMER SAILING IN STOCKHOLM

This year's vacation sailing was a bit shorter than usual, and without the kids, which can be a nice change every now and then :) It was just me, Marcus, and David sailing, and we were lucky enough to have a few beautiful days in the Stockholm archipelago.

The first day brought some less-than-ideal weather, so we anchored on an island just south of Hallskär. Unfortunately, I don’t have any photos from that evening, but the weather improved on day two, and we met up with Petter and Clara at our secret hideaway near Huvudskär. What a night we had!

The next day, we sailed north, initially aiming for Lilla Nassa. However, as we passed the northern part of Björkskär, we spotted a beautiful bay to the west bathed in the evening sun. We decided to drop anchor there instead

In the evening, we enjoyed herring and potatoes, with a few schnapps, while enjoying the melodies of Evert Taube. It’s a tradition that has to be embraced at least once every vacation!

Unfortunately, the wind shifted overnight, so we had to move to another island early in the morning. This new island was farther out in the archipelago and had absolutely stunning bathing rocks, so it wasn’t such a bad thing after all.

On the last night, the wind was expected to pick up, so we played it safe and anchored in Koxviken. It turned out to be a short but fantastic sailing trip, filled with plenty of sunshine and delicious food!
