TYSKHUVUDET WITH VERA
The first autumn break in Åre got off to a great start! While Molly was training the dogs with a friend in Järpen, Vera, Bosse, and I headed up the slopes of Tegefjäll and made our way to Tyskhuvudet. It was a short but incredibly beautiful hike, about 7 km round-trip.
At the summit, the first snow had settled, and the wind was quite chilly, so we kept our break short. The path up was pretty wet in places, so we were glad we'd treated our boots beforehand. On the way back, we took a different route down, which was much drier.
The clouds drifted in and out, and at times, we could just make out the peak of Åreskutan to the east.
